Lynn Valley Trail System

In Simcoe this trail meets up with the Norfolk Sunrise Trail, giving you the option of continuing on to Waterford, or heading towards Delhi.

Starting at Silver Lake in Port Dover, you’ll pass sections of forest and grassland that will make you forget you’re in Southern Ontario. This trail is almost always covered by trees and shaded from the sun, with a few open areas near a grassland and a field. This trail passes over a number of rivers and creeks on beautiful old, well-maintained wooden foot bridges. In Simcoe, it meets up with the Norfolk Sunrise Trail at Victoria Street, which is just south of Clifton Park.

This trail supports a variety of uses, including walking, running, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and is wheelchair accessible.

Availability: This trail is open year round.

Directions:
To access the trail head in Port Dover, take Highway 6 into town and turn left onto Greenock Street/St Patrick Street. Silver Lake will be on your left, along with the trail head to the Lynn Valley Trail. There are also access points every 1.5-2km from which you can begin or end your walk. Refer to the map below to locate various access points and find directions to them.
